Minimum specifications for client machines

This is the minimum required specification for client machines running Sage 200.

Processing tasks are handled on the server but a significant amount of processing is handled by the Sage 200 app on the client PC. The specification of the client machines will therefore affect the performance of the system.

To make sure Sage 200 desktop apps display correctly, check your display resolution and scale settings:

  • Open System > Display and check that Display resolution is set to the recommended option.

  • Open System > Display and check that Scale is set to the recommended option.

    Depending on your display, you may be able to use a scale that's higher than the recommended option.

    Restart Sage 200 if you see any display problems when you change the Scale.

Prerequisites

  • All client machines must have the regional settings set to English (UK) or English (Ireland).

  • Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8 (or later) is installed.

    Note: This may already be included if you have installed a later version of .NET Framework.

  • Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2019 Redistributable (x86) - 14.24.28127 is installed.

    Note: This is included in the Sage 200 installer, but can also be downloaded from Microsoft: Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable latest supported downloads.

  • The Sage 200 client application is installed using ClickOnce, and installed to your AppData\Local\Apps folder.
